Friday 1 May, Saturday 2 May, Sunday 3 May
Finals dates:
Friday 21 August, Saturday 22 August, Sunday 23 August
Non-playing days are:
10-12 April (middle weekend of school holidays)
10-12 July (middle weekend of school holidays)
CHA Grade Structure
Both Mini sticks (year 3-4) and Kiwi Sticks (year 5-6) will be offered on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
Mini Sticks will be a fully mixed grade, but Kiwi Sticks will be split between boys and girls grades
We will endeavour to meet families preferences for which competition their child is entered, however this will be dependent on numbers.

Within the Kiwi Sticks grade, Penalty Corners are replaced with the Power Play.

How the Power Play will work:
When a foul is committed inside the attacking circle, a powerplay is awarded.
The powerplay will be taken from the long corner mark.
The defensive team must set up with three players in the defensive circle (including goalkeeper), while the other four defenders start in the opposite circle.
The attacking players can be positioned anywhere, as long as the ball starts from the long corner mark.
Once everyone is set up, the umpire will blow the whistle to initiate play and the powerplay begins.
The ball must move 5m or be touched by another player before entering the circle. At this point, normal play resumes.
Junior Hockey 5s (year 7-8) Festival
Junior festival tournament for Year 7 & 8 players run by Canterbury Hockey will be held on: TBA

New to Club Junior Carlton Redcliffs Hockey promotion - Year 3 - 8 only
New to Junior club hockey? We are again offering a Just Hockey Starter Pack for new juniors playing for Carlton Redcliffs, who are playing hockey for first time. This promotion is designed to support players to begin playing club hockey who would benefit from assistance to begin their hockey career.
This promotion is open until Friday 8 May for all new players who are fully registered for the winter season. Email reddos.juniorclub@gmail.com with your child’s name and the request to secure this starter pack.

Welcome to the Carlton Redcliffs Junior Club. Below is key information for the 2026 season.
We offer junior club teams for years 3-8 which have both a weekday training session and game scheduled by CHA on either a Friday evening (Year 3&4, and 5&6) or Saturday morning (Year 3&4, 5&6 and 7&8).
For our youngest Year 1&2 members, we offer the Funsticks program, which runs after school over 6 weeks. Details are below.

12-1pm - Years 3-6 - skills development session
1-2pm - Year 7&8 - skills development session

***Please remember to bring your mouthguard, we cannot allow children on the turf without one.
Registrations for the 2026 winter season: Registrations for the season will open after the teams are announced.
