Coaches of the highest standard particularly for our premier team's has attracted player's to the club over the year's and the spirit within the club and the team's has been outstanding. 2009 has proved outstanding for both the Men and Women.

The Premier team coached by Jeremy Symonds are at the top of the table with a major final to be played by the 2 top teams. The Women won the Super 6 Trophy at the start of the season but at the vital semi-final time they had 3 top player's missing and on goal average required to score 11 goals to take the title and ended with 10. Frustrating to go so close and have to take second place with such a performance for the Championship.

Our Club has Nick Haig currently in the N.Z. Black Stick's and 5 in the Canterbury Squad namely George Enerson, Rueben Koorey, Jason Nile's, Chris Goldsbury and Sam Kumbaroff.

The Women have Fiona Morrison who has been in Boston wth the N.Z. Junior Team and she has with her in the Canterbury Under 21 Team Monique Wilson and Jacqui Moorfield. Olivia Merry and Sarah Byer's are in the Canterbury Under 18 Team. Fiona Morrison, Olivia Merry and Meredith Orr are all in the Canterbury Cats.

4 have been chosen for the Southern National Hockey League Erin Smyth, Helen Scott, Monique Wilson and Charlotte White. The Canterbury B Team has Sarah Byer's, Melanie Sinclair and Charlotte White.

What a talented group with the atitude to WIN.

Tim Andrews at MITRE 10 MEGA and Andrew Norton at SPEIGHT'S ALE HOUSE have both given the Club great support which is appreciated.

Our Junior Club remains strong in both Girl's and Boy's and the parent involvement is alway's appreciated. Each Season we manage to get coaches for all the Junior Team's but people with Hockey Knowledge are alway's welcome as it is vital the young one's are getting the correct information.

It is our intention to give greater support to the local school's next season particularly with the Mini's aged 5,6 and 7 on basic skill's . Sam Hay and Joshua Knight have been chosen for the Hatch Cup Team . The Premier Primary School Team and the B Team has Dominic Bain and Silas Dalley. Canterbury A for the Girl's which is the Collier Cup has 2 from our team Kate and Emily Fullen so congratulation's to them all on the achievment.

We have a large number heading off to Secondary School but many can stay with the Club and play Youth Grade which is an excellent stepping stone to continue with Hockey.
